SMOOTHIES IN DECEMBER?!

First let me start by saying; I have yet to use my blender I got for my Birthday.
I bought a mini blender with one speed for $17 at Target, partially as a gift. My Boyfriend loves it!
I try to get him as many healthy things that I can, because when I first met him,
He only wanted Mc'Donalds.
Sense being with me, he now owns a juicer, mini blender, proper silverware, etc.
We opened it and used it as soon as we could.
We had 2 smoothies

First Smoothy:
we used Vitamin Water (Focus) as the liquid,
(Because he and I try to stay away from dairy products.)
Added Frozen Mango squares,
Mixed Berries consisting of, Strawberries, Blue Berries, and Raspberries,
And Added some Banana.

AMAZING!!!

Second Smoothy:
Vitamin Water (Focus) again
Banana
Strawberries

Very simple, but really classic, and yummy.
Some people would think I'm crazy for drinking Smoothies in the Winter time.
What most people don't understand is that I live in Arizona.
Which means my winter can be Summer in most parts of the world. The coldest it gets is maybe under 40* degree's. If that.
I'm sorry for the people stuck in snow right now wishing they were me.
But for thin blooded people like myself 40* degree's is cold.
I'm just an odd person who likes eating ice cream when its cold, and drinking smoothies.
obviously I'm a weirdo.
I recommend this as a perfect (inexpensive) gift. for christmas.
Look for it at a local target, thats where I got mine
It Also promotes healthy life style choices.
Great for young kids (and safe to use), College teens/adults, teens in high school, and even Adults.
Heck I'm an Adult and I love it!
I found it easy to wash, and it only has one button, so its not intimidating.
I think the hardest part once you have it, is buying frozen fruit.

The actual name of the blender was called "Hamilton Beach Single Serve Blender"
The one I got was in Simple black, but I know they come in different colors.

Where to find it/ Link

By the way, I'm not being paid by Target or Hamilton Beach Blender's.
Honestly, truly I am just a real person who loves her smoothies and I am not being endorsed.
These are my real true thoughts.
I hope at least one person will get this as a gift, if not a gift for someone else, then for them-selfes.
This is really a great gift idea!!!!

Birthday Post

I know I haven't made a post this December. I am sorry. I've been trying to enjoy this time of the year. You know Christmassy time. One awesome thing bout the winter is that in my family we have mainly all birthdays in December!

I'm going to do a Birthday Haul, Even though I try to keep my birthday low key every year. Somehow my family always shows me I'm never low key and really important to them. If any of you read this I LOVE YOU!

I forgot to take a picture of what my sister got me, she surprised me at Work (boo who ever should have to work on there birthday, I'm sorry, I know it sucks) But she surprised me with a Starbucks drink, actually my favorite, which is a Vanilla bean with Raspberry Syrup, and a metal togo cup and straw.  If you like sweet things and want a cute girlie, but delicious drink try this drink!!! But she made my day :) Thank you sister.
photo here

This is what my amazing Step Mom and Dad got me, a body shop set all coconut! Yum my favorite. Comes with body scrub, body butter, shower cream, coconut soap, and a luffa.

My Mom got me this oh so soft and beautiful scarf made of bamboo! Decorated with flowers and swirly designs. But oh my gosh its made of Bamboo!!!!

I Got 2 Candles!!!! The one on the left was from a really close family friends, I call them Papa Jim and Mama Suzzie!!! Thank you guys if you're reading this! But its a Nutmeg and Vanille candle, By Seda France candle's, and oh gosh if I were a sent this would be it! The Candle on the Right was also from my mom its a Bridge Water Candle, Which I'm a bit obsessed with these candles. If you didn't know anytime someone buys a bridge water candle it feeds a child for a day, my candle here fed Lester.

My Bridge Water Candle sent is called Silent Night. Its the candle I'v been using to fall asleep to. Don't worry I always blow it out before I'm asleep. Pure bliss :)

Also my Step mom and Dad got me this cute little Turtle. Its a Christmas luck charm. Its also Supposed to bring me Christmas cheer threw out the season. Its so precious, I want to put a string on it and hang it from my car mirror.

This is so sweet. My Boyfriend actually got me this ring but couldn't wait till my birthday, so I'v been wearing it all December. Its an infinity ring. But its a thicker ring which I like, and it has hearts. I feel like its so wearable to any occasion. I'v even been wearing it to work and multiple people said they love it. He isn't great at getting gifts so I might have helped him pick it out.

I got roses for my birthday. I would usually say flowers are a waste of money but on my Birthday or special occasion I LOVE THEM!!! I got all white roses but one purple rose! As my Favorite color is purple this was beautiful. This wasn't just a bouquet of flowers from Mama Suzzie and Papa Jim. This was a sneaky way of giving me what I actually asked for "a Blender"!!!! What they did was put the flowers in the blender and made this present amazing! Thank you guys so much! This was a great surprise and made me so so happy.

colors left to right: Hot Cinnamon (shimmer), Enchanted Forest (shimmer), Nude Fresco (satin), and Ivory Slipper (satin)

Scent: Pleasures

Color: Crystal Baby Cream

My Grandma actually got me a few things from Estee Lauder, Love them all! She is one of the reasons why I have a make-up addiction. First Picture is of eye-shadows, love all the colors. Second is perfume which smells so good! Third is lipstick, I don't own many lipsticks, so its really nice to be adding it to part of my collection. The lipstick is super buttery and feels so nice on my lips.

I also got a few other things but as most of them were food and I ate them I cant really show you sorry.
Well I hope you enjoyed my birthday haul. if you want me to do a Christmas haul let me know.
I'll probably do one, but we shall see.

Happy Holidays

3 New Things November 2013

I think its not a surprise I love make-up

I have 3 new things to share that I'm really loving this November

photo here

1.
SMASHBOX CAMERA READY CC CREAM
Broad specrum SPF 30
Dark Spot Correcting
in LIGHT

photo here

Picture Above foundation not rubbed in,
Below rubbed into my hand.

First off I really like the packaging for this product. Sleek, Simple, Love it. Ok so... I have acne scars (its hard to admit) but this CC Cream has really helped. I'v seen a difference in my skin sense using this product. I have very pale skin as you can see in the picture. so this product brings a little color back into my skin. I also love that it has SPF 30 in it. I haven't been able to use a lot of SPF because of my acne, even using special acne SPF broke me out, this product didn't break me out, or cause any irritation. I really love this stuff, I just didn't love the price. It was really pricy compared to other brands. But with all the amazingness of dark spot correcting and SPF I think its worth it!

2.
NARS BLUSH
in TAOS

Blush Blush Blush... I'm on the search for the perfect blush, I don't think Taos is my perfect blush, but its amazing all the same. The perfect blush cant break me out, a lot of drug store brand do unfortunately. I thought Taos was interesting and I don't own anything like it. Perfect reason to get it right? Thats how I justified buying it anyways. I already own New Order, and a Hungry Heart, Orgasm duo. I really only have those few colors for blush anyway. I needed more to chose from (right?). Still testing it out but already tell its super pigmented and dark :) .

3.
LANCOME MASCARA
HYPNOSE STAR
in NOIR MIDNIGHT

I got a tester for this product earlier this month. I remember thinking Oh... its not going to last. So I ended up buying the full size because I loved it so much. I had received so many compliments on it as well. It really thickened my lashes and made them longer.
It has a unique shape to the brush part. Whats that called? A spoolie? Anyways it like the end is flat but then sprawls out like a christmas tree to get all your lashes. Personally I love this feature (as seen in the above pictures). The formula is also amazing, helps add a curl to the lashes.

A snobby friend of mine was really nit picky about it though, said "your eyelashes look clumpy from the side." How unpleasant right? I never thought they looked clumpy. After that I asked a few other peoples opinions they couldn't say one bad thing. Maybe it was just her mood. The product its super amazing and has a long wear to it. I have always bought drugstore mascara, buying this high end Lancome mascara made a huge difference.
Im a very happy lady with this product, and will continue to repurchase. As I'v grown attached.

Thanks for reading, I also want to say I'm not being paid to talk about these products.
Not being paid at all!
I bought all these products myself

If you live somewhere that celebrates ThanksGiving
Have a Happy Thanksgiving

I'll be celebrating by eating so much food
(and working blah)
have a great day :)

HAUL And REVIEW November 2013

So I was internet shopping and got bunches of things mainly Makeup. Its was a day filled of happiness!!!

  • First off I am now a V.I.B. Beauty insider threw Sephora, thats awesome and I cant wait to use my points etc. Link will be below to Sephora's website
now onto the make-up/beauty

Marc Jacobs Nail Lacquer in 110 - Gatsby

(no picture anymore)

Sorry its not a super amazing paint job, but hey this is only one coat on my nails, Amazing. I also REALLY LOVE this color! Its a Rose Gold color and over all gorgeous. Not only will i be able to wear this in Autumn/Fall but I think this will be a great color all year round! In the sun it's more pink that gold, but is very metallic and shiny. Bonus, shiny is always great. The price for a nail polish now a days is maybe $10 or cheaper. But Marc Jaboc's is a known fashion designer so of course his make-up and beauty line are going to be a bit pricy. This was $18, around the same price range as Butter London nail lacquers. And I'm a bit obsessed with Nail polishes and already have a decent size collection.

Hand Food
Soap and Glory

This product smells so good, and perfect for autumn/winter when it gets really dry. Im already a naturally a dry person and I have sensitive skin. So its really hard to find a good lotion or body cream that I can use. Living in a really dry place (Glendale arizona, US) doesnt help, so lotions are a must, always looking for good lotions and body creams. I had used there body cream I think, fell in love with the brand. I noticed after using the hand food, my hands were left a bit oily. I personaly am not a bit fan of that feeling, unless I'm really dried out and chapping. So be warned slight oily feeling with this Product. This was around $12, great deal I think.

Fresh
Sugar Lip Treatment

(no picture anymore)

This product is like heaven on you're lippys! Again I tend to be a very dry person weather it be lips or skin, all over dryness. This product I got as a present for my birthday from good ol' Sephora. Used it all up but didn't repurchase right away because I had other chap sticks to use up (all sucked compared to sugar lip treatment). So I repurchased And am way excited to use it! I Recommend this product to everyone. I know it can be a bit pricy around $22.50, but I cant say enough great things about it!

New Order
Nars Blush

(no picture anymore)

Don't be confused, New Order in the name of the color. This is so lovely, a beautiful soft pink with gold and silver shimmer. Having a Olive / yellowy skin tone it's really difficult to find a soft pink blush I can used, and looks good on my skin. This looks great, And i don't own many blushes so i thought going for a softer pink is a great way to start. Nars blushes are not cheap either, this was $29.

Fairy's Kiss
Nars Eyeshadow Palette

(no picture anymore)

This I actually got from the Nars website (link below). I also did a whole seperate post on it here (click is on the word here). This is a limited edition item so I'm not sure if they'd still have it on the website. Sorry about the crap picture of swatches. I'm not going to lie, Fairy's kiss was probably the most expensive product I got. It cost $45 not including taxes and shipping, so its a lot of money. I'm not to sure it was worth all the hype I was giving it either. Don't get me wrong I do like the colors and textures and packaging, I just don't think it's worth $45. Thats my honest opinion.

Icon - Blue Red
Hourglass liquid lipstick

(no picture any more)

This I have not tested out on my lippys yet, but supposedly it dries matte (not glossy). So I'm a little worried to test it out on my dry lips for the fall/winter but I did a swatch on my forearm. Let me tell you, this sh*t stayed on my forearm. Took me a good rub to get it off. So thats awesome that it has amazing staying power. It also had an odd doe foot applicator, but does that really matter in such an amazing product. So many good reviews, and let me tell you I cant wait for a reason to wear this. I'm still worried about the dryness, but when I tested it on my wrist it felt creamy and not drying. This little baby cost about $28 bucks. A lot of you are probably like "you is a crazy woman" haha well I had a good reason... I own no red lippy products. Correction I own 2 lip glosses, one pink lip stick, and a plethora of used up chap sticks. I say used up because they are almost gone or are completely gone.

few' that was a bunch a stuff. If anyone has good recommendations to keep my skin from drying out this winter like it does every winter, please I'll try it! Or have any other products that you recommend, this is pretty much half of what I own. So I obviously want more.

Coming up soon I order an amazing AMAZING thing.....
so keep your eyes open for my next blog post, cuz it's going to be fjlakglejbfldsjfugowu
I cant even AHHHHHH!!!!

I love you for reading this crazy post.

NARS

I should cut down on my shopping because my bank account has really been taking a beating. But let me tell you a few things that I'v purchased. One being my first Nars sheer glow liquid Foundation, in Monte Blonc. I naturally have combination dryer skin, so I didn't want to go Matte. That would have made my face patchy and really unflattering.

So I went to Sephora decided Monte Blonc was my perfect color and purchased it. The Sephora I went to didn't have any pumps. So immediately I went online to order it, and the Sephora website let me down. I had to order it from the Nars website which not a big deal, just had to pay a shipping fee.

While perusing the Nars website I found this palette called Fairy's kiss. This is where i ended up spend way to much money.

It was a battle within myself to either pick something from the Mac online site or Nars for my next eye shadow purchase. I chose the Nars Palette because it is a limited edition and had a lovely selection of colors. I also trust that Nars eye shadows are nicely pigmented. The set comes with 6 colors great for fall/ Autumn and even going into winter.
Top Row(L-R): Manosque (Limited Edition), Kalahari, Brousse
Bottom Row(L-R): Tokyo, Brumes, Pandora

I found I'm a sucker for names and branding/packaging of all products Fairy's kiss was one of those products. And Nars Products are not the only Makeup thing I'v purchased for this month. Its just a small part of what I'v ordered.... I did end up buying 3 things from Sephora, 2 of which are going to be gifts. But I'm still really pleased with everything.

I'm really loving how my collection has grown to a counter top full of lovely things in just a few months. I think I'm going to continue to repurchasing the liquid glow foundation because its my new love. I'll Always go back to my Favorite Clinque Foundation but I needed a change, and this was perfect.

Thank you for reading my extremely long blog post about my rambling

INTRODUCING ME: 15 facts

Here is a picture of myself with hardly any makeup on, and I cut my hair sense this picture. But enjoy my face.

I was going threw my posts and realized I never properly introduced myself on my blog, so Hi, my name is Iris (like the flower, or part of the eye). I believe in Greek it's rainbow, or rainbow like appearance. I personally love my name, and very rarely find another person with the same name. I always receive complements so having a unique name makes me happy and feel special.

But that was me rambling, so I want to tell you a few things about myself. I did this post like a 15 facts about me type setup. If anyone has any questions or wants me to go more into detail I'll be happy to answer any questions or comments.

1. My favorite color is purple, shocker.
2. My favorite desert is a Italian Connolli (unsure about the spelling)
3. I wear size 7 US shoes
4. I have hazel eyes, that sometimes go deep green, or dark blue, I even have orange speckles.
5. I've had short hair once and will forever have long hair now,  because I cried for weeks about it
6. I rarely eat meat, but if I do it's usually bird (chicken or turkey)
7. I'm a carbolic. I can eat bread everyday and be happy about it.
8. I have naturally curly wavy hair, and only straighten my hair 6-7 times a year
9. Apple products fan girl, but I'm not against using windows or PC whatever it is
10. I don't like being in crowded public places.
11. I have dyslexia, where I mix up letters and numbers, that makes it really hard to read and write...
12. But somehow I always managed to get A's and B's in school.
13. I once saved a building and everyone in it, because I stopped a gas leak.
14. I've been loving makeup but only as I've gotten older, when I was younger I hated it
15. And lastly I'm overly sensitive to everything, which can be a blessing and a curse.

Thank you for reading my blog post about myself. I'll say it again, but if you have any questions feel free to ask or comment. I'd love some feedback, I'm really wondering if anyone likes my posts. But I'm mainly doing it for myself

I do have links:
I'm trying to use YouTube Instagram and tumblr more often but I do tweet almost daily now.
Who knows maybe I'll even try making a video soon!
Again thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day or night (depending on when you read this)

AUTUMN SENTS and HAUL

These are a few things that iv started my October out with.

The First 2 Candle pictures, I got in a little boutique Called Blue House Boutique in Arizona, down town Glendale (link Below). Its such an amazing little shop that might get over looked because its well hidden but so cute and worth finding. The Boutique sells more than just Candles, I also got a car smelly (not Pictured), they also sell jewelry, furniture, and other nick' nacks. The candles are form Bridgewater Candle Company, and for every candle purchased, Bridgewater candle company makes a donation to feed one orphan child for a day. The fragrance I have is the Autumn fragrance called "Hayride." Its sent is so warm and amazing, and its lasted a whole day none stop burning like a champ!

The other 3 Candle aren't as fancy, because I got them at Walmart. Shocker. But I was browsing the candle section and came across 2 BetterHomes candles, Simmering Apple Cider and Iced Carrot Cake, that make my home spell so yummy. They are Both Limited Edition Candle just for this time of year so I had to grab them while I could. The brown colored one is called "Rustic Retreat" from MAINSTAYS I think. Its smell is more earthy but still really warm and homy. I keep Simmering Apple Cider and Hayride in my bed room, while Iced Carrot Cake and Rustic Retreat are placed around my home, like dining room and front entrance.

I also got Halloween treats! Oreo Ice Cream, And Orange filled Oreos. I hope these are just the start of the candy yumminess of halloween that Im going to get durning this month. These are limited time only foods obviously. Most likely you could find them in a local Grocery Store and if not always ask if they can order some in. Never hurts to ask.

Then we come to the Adorable Kitten Pictures. I got a kitten about in July 2013, Gray and White fluffy little baby only a few days old. Now you're probably thinking this is not the kitten in the pictures. Well its not the same kitten at all. My mom was jealous of my little fluff ball that she also wanted one of her own. The kitten in the Pictures is hers. It is a Girl, Tri-colored Orange, Black, and White, and Her name is Pumpkin. Its almost to perfect of a name for her, and she is still a kitten after all.

Last but not least I went shopping at H&M. I didn't get much, just a simple oatmeal colored knitted beanie. Its super soft and warm, covers my hair on those not to good hair days. I'm luckily blessed with naturally wavy/curly hair, So bad hair day rarely happen, but they still happen. I really love this hat and have only had it a few days.

I'm not endorsed by any of the products I'v mentioned, I'm just sharing the things I'v enjoyed so far this month. If you end you liking any of the things I'v shared please let me know. I love writing about the stuff I like using and stuff that makes me happy.

I Spoiled Myself: Butter London nail Lacquer

I recently subscribed to purchase IPsy beauty bags (link below) and it was amazing! I was very impressed with the  September Glam bag I was sent, but disappointed I didn't get a Butter London nail Lacquer. So I Clicked a Link and used a promo code they gave me and Wha-La i could buy 3 way cheaper than if they were regularly priced!

I got 3 colors all super cute and perfect in my opinion.

Cream Tea

Saucy Jack

La Moss

La Moss is my favorite color, its described as a "A vampy deep, dark red nail lacquer full of red wine, just like its inspiration."  That quote is exactly from the website. But I had no other way of describing it, the websites description was to perfect. Sense its October its perfect for dressing up or wearing for the fall. After my previous Blog post about October and Movies/T.V. I have felt so perfect wearing this color, its lasted about a little over a week. It chipped a little it still looks really cool. Makes the hole nail look ragged and edgy.

After wearing Sausy Jack on my fingers and toes for at least a week I've come to love the color of its bright red. At first it was to overly red for me, I thought it would suit Christmas or holiday. But the color grew on me, and it held up really nicely on my toes. Great product and a very elegant color.

Cream tea is a creamy color obviously, but defiantly thick. I only had to use 2 coats where as I had to use 4-5 coats with Saucy Jack and La Moss. After wearing Cream Tea for a few days, I noticed it had a slight pink tint in its color. I noticed it while driving one day and my nails looked amazing. I probably looked like a freak examining my nails in my car, but could you not look at something pretty and pink. I realize this makes me seem like a huge girly girl, but I assure you I'm into more than just girly things.

I spoiled myself with the discount and the brand. But I adored Butter London before so my purchases seemed reasonable enough. I really recommend checking out IPsy.com link below, because they are always having great deals and discounts. Not to mention their products are amazing! They really try to get the best stuff, and test it themselfs, if they don't like it, they won't put it in a glam bag. Which means whoever orders the bag gets the best stuff. I'm not endorsed by them or am getting paid for writing this blog post, I genuinely love it and want to share.

I'll be writing soon!
I'm not endorsed by anyone, by the band Butter London, or IPsy

If you know of any other Butter London nail Lacquers that are amazing please let me know. Thanks :)

October is coming, Movies & T.V.

As most people realize its almost October, this just so happens to be my favorite month of the year. I usually don't like scary things in my life, in fact I try to keep everything like that out of life any other time of the year. I'm a big scaredy cat. But during October I let little bits of scariness into my life, feeling ok. I love "fake" haunted houses and "fake" costumes. Emphasis on the fake. Only because I know it's not really that frightening. Everyone enjoys Halloween, the food, the smells, all of it is so wonderful.

I've recently been watching a bit of tv/movies, some old classics others kinda new. A few are "Hocus Pocus" & "Vampire Diary's." You can watch Vampire Diary's on netflix, where as i ordered Hocus Pocus off Amazon.
Picture here

I watched Hocus Pocus with my younger brother at night on a school night for him, while eating ice cream. Which i know isnt responsible, but we only stayed up till 9:40pm. He said he thought the movie was so stupid, saying things like "of course the cat can't die, 9 life's" or "wouldn't they know about that stuff, don't have to make it obvious." Which made me laugh because when I was his age watching that movie I used to think OMG OMG OMG!!! But now it's like a blast from the past. It's such a cute feel good movie, hardly even scary now. But I still think everyone has the right to see it. I personally got it on DVD from amazon, and recommend it to everyone.

picture here

Now on to the Vampire Diary's. I recently started watching it thinking it was just going to be a lame tv series, but I'm hooked. I do feel kinda lame for liking it, but it has interesting parts. I'm not that far into it yet (I won't say how far) but enjoying none the less. Because I haven't been watching for that long I don't have specific details. I also don't think I'll be a die hard fan about it either though. It's good but not great, I like it but don't love it (yet). I can say I've woken other members of my house hold with the louder scary parts. They came in and were confused as to why I was even watching something scary, saying "we don't watch scary in this house iris, why?" Haha I had woken them up, and made them think someone scary was in the house.

I know these things seem minor fear movies/tv shows compare to SAW or paranormal activity. But to some people (when I mean some people I mean me) they get really frightened and very easily. At the same time I'm not some prissy little girl who can't take care of herself either,I am still one those girls that carries around pepper spray!

So there is a peak into my life, scaredy cat Iris can't watch SAW or Paranormal Activity, but loves cheesy movies/shows like Vampire Diary's and Hocus Pocus.

I'll also try to stay more consistent with writing my this blog, just been busy working and being with my family. Life as an adult isn't all that easy but it's good to get a break and watch some tv. Have a lovely October, talk to you soon.

Again I'm not sponsored by anymore. I just really like this movie and show. Thanks for reading if you read all the way threw. Enjoy October

MAC EYESHADOWS (ZOELLA AND TANYA BURR)

As of lately I'v really been getting into makeup, which I was never allowed to use as a child, and hardly use now as an adult. So I'm allowing myself to splurge and get a few things I'v really been wanting.

My Step Mom (Bonnie) introduced me to MAC eyeshadow in High School and I'v really missed it. Discovering my destroyed empty case of a eyeshadow made me really sad. But now after looking up what I want and, will be good and what i will use more often i think iv decided on what I need.

I'v made one of the customizable palette for the eyeshadows X15 from the MAC website and the colors I chose were (not in any particular order) Quarry, Shroom, Retrospeck, Sable, Woodwinked, Nylon, Sumptuous Olive, Greensmoke, Charcoal Brown, Carbon, Satin Taupe, All That Glitters, Smut, Beauty Marked, and Mystery.

This is a not so great (phone) picture of the colors from the MAC website, just to give an idea of what I'm talking about because I don't actually own the palette YET

(Real Picture, I Don't know what Happened to the Original)

These were just some of the colors i really liked and also a lot of these colors Tanya Burr and Zoella from YouTube (They also have personal blogs if you want to check them out I'll put links at the bottom of this post) uses and favorited or recommended. I really think for someone starting out not knowing all that much about makeup researching from these beauty Gurus was a good place to start, And I'm really proud of my selection so far.

Sense those are just the eyeshadow colors, I was also researching what tools i would need, and it would seem the essentials are as follows: Mac 217 brush, Blending brush, Mac 239 brush, Mac angled brush (for brows) And i think thats it. Of course no one has to get Mac brushes this is just what I'v researched.

i haven't included foundation, blush, concealer, lips, etc.

Also i want to start doing more with my Makeup and getting more to add to my collection give me suggestions of what i should get, or if there is anything specific anyone wants to know, remember I'm New to this so you might know more than me :)
